Published December 2, 2012Today is the first Sunday in Advent. Many Christian churches celebrate this time across the next four weeks as we get ready for Christmas. We light one candle each Sunday to remember the four centuries of waiting for the Savior’s coming (advent). The candles have other meanings too. Our solar system with the sun and it’s nine planets (I include Pluto) is orbiting the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Our galaxy is 100,000 light years across, and our system is about 25,000 light years out. It takes us millions of years to complete our orbit.
