The Cycle of Easter
Published April 1, 2012Today is Palm Sunday, and next week we’ll celebrate Easter. In one sense, it’s a yearly event. In another sense, it’s a profound cycle that lays out the plan of God. In this one week period we see: 1) Jesus entering Jerusalem to the praise and adoration of men; 2) a week of living and teaching in the temple; 3) conflict with the world and judgment; 4) death and burial, and 5) resurrection to new life.
