Where’s the “power” in the Christian life?   It’s in the Holy Spirit.  So, how do you get the Spirit?  Well, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell the believer at the time of his new birth (Rom.8.9; 1 Cor. 12.13; Ephes. 1.13).  Jesus told us that we need to be “born again”(John 3.3).  It’s a spiritual birth, and we receive a spiritual presence (an indwelling) at that time. The American church has experienced a disconnect between being saved in Christ and being transformed by Him. This was the substance of our discussion at the Men’s Prayer Breakfast this past week.
