Sunday School 9:30 AM Sunday Worship Service 10:30 AM - get directions

We remembered “Ash Wednesday” last week, and we are now in the “Lenten Season.” This means that for the next 40 days Christians are encouraged to reflect on our lives, to confess, repent and seek restoration in the Lord (1 Jn.1.9).
It is a time of cleansing as we prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday
“Ash crosses” are applied to the foreheads of believing Catholics, Anglicans, and other high church groups. Evangelicals usually do not practice this custom. The ash comes from palm fronds burned from the previous Palm Sunday.
The word “lent” comes from the old English meaning of the “spring season.”
It’s the time of year when “more light comes on the earth” as winter recedes and summer approaches. So it is that Jesus is “the light of the world” (John 8.12).
May His light shine on you this Lenten season.

This Show Low nondenominational church is comprised of an independent body of believers, who have found comfort in biblical love, fellowship and spiritual unity. We practice New Testament Christianity in adherence to the Word of God, in faith, in obedience, and servanthood. We are dedicated to that which blesses the Lord Jesus Christ and lifts up His commandments, especially to love one another.

What We Believe: “To do things Jesus’ way, by Jesus’ teaching, and for Jesus’ glory.”

Life Verse: “Bear one another’s burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
