 Happy New Year
We all want to be happy. For most of us it means that things are going along okay, that our needs are being met, and that we’re loved and/or cared for by family and friends. Sadly, not all of us can say this in the natural Yet, there’is a supernatural sense when we trust in the Lord God and call upon Him in Jesus’name that ultimate happiness and peace is ours.
Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” fame wrote a book titled Happy, Happy, Happy. The bottom line for Phil is Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord. And, in every sense, that’s the bottom line for us having a “Happy New Year.”
Paramount to this happiness is Jesus as Lord. That’s probably the hardest part for us believers to understand. From moment to moment, our state of mind and well-being is determined by His lordship over our lives. Somebody’s going to rule in your life. Who will it be? You, the devil, your friends, relatives, co-workers…or, Jesus?
Believers have been given the Holy Spirit who advises our behavior. Listen to Him. When you do, then Jesus is Lord, and you will make those decisions and take those actions this year that lead to happiness.

This Show Low nondenominational church is comprised of an independent body of believers, who have found comfort in biblical love, fellowship and spiritual unity. We practice New Testament Christianity in adherence to the Word of God, in faith, in obedience, and servanthood. We are dedicated to that which blesses the Lord Jesus Christ and lifts up His commandments, especially to love one another.

What We Believe: “To do things Jesus’ way, by Jesus’ teaching, and for Jesus’ glory.”

Life Verse: “Bear one another’s burdens and thus fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
