The Truth About 9-11
There are a growing number of people, me included, who figure that we really don’t know the truth about 9-11. Would it help us if we did? Probably not. What we do know is that out of the 22 conspirators, 18 were Saudi Arabians. Now, what sense does that make? We’ve fostered good relations with Saudi Arabia for decades, and we’ve literally given them every consideration, including billions of dollars in aid. We know that they were all Muslims, and that their mantra was “kill the infidels” …us Americans. These things are irritating enough without adding in a conspiracy theory.
So, what about the truth?
The truth of 9-11 is not really about 9-11, it’s about the age old war between good and evil, between the devil and his human conspirators who wish to destroy mankind. Think about it. The world has been torn apart by such notables as Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, the Roman Caesars, Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Mao Tse Tung to name a few. These individuals acted in the spirit of 9-11 which is a spirit of hostile aggression and destruction.
When we buy into that spirit, we move away from the teachings of Jesus and move towards the teachings of the world powers and forces of this age.
Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly” (John 10.10). We need to keep this in mind as we seek to do business with the world.
We’re not ignoring 9-11 which was a real act of war, no more than we’re ignoring Pearl Harbor, but at the same time, neither the grassroots Saudis, nor the grassroots Japanese probably hold much hatred towards us at all.
The devil is clever in raising up combatants from the ranks of the dissatisfied, the disenfranchised, the delusional and the mean. These make his best warriors against good. Just remember, however, what Paul wrote, “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good” (Rom. 12.21).
