Good News Club is Done for the Year
We had a great time at the Good News Club as we closed out the school year Tuesday, May 16th.
There were thirteen children present with another fifteen parents, relatives, and two of our Club trainers. Certificates and “gospel” bracelets were handed out, and the Gideons presented each of the children with their own Bibles. We also enjoyed some sweet treats, which the kids loved!
We will start the Good News Club for children at Linden Elementary once again in the fall, after school starts. After reading the contmems that came after me I feel I need to make known that I wholeheartedly agree that the responsibility to keep kids in Church lies with the parents. I thought that the question was about what the Church should do, and I just didn’t delve into the rest of it. However, we have to remember that not every child that is in Church, or even a member of a Church, has Christian parents or even parents that go to Church. That is where the Church has to make this child feel comfortable and wanted in a situation that is already probably difficult for them:)
