Prepare for the New Year 2010

For some time now I’ve been warning our people at NHCF about the coming trouble and encouraging them to “get prepared.” Primary to all preparation is being right with God. Then prayer follows. We can claim “the law of faith” (1 John 5.4).

And, “my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil.4.19). But, I suspect that He’ll inspire you to do some personal work and preparation in the process.

My concern in this writing is to focus on 2010 and get a view for what could happen. In looking and understanding these things we will be better able cope.

There are four concerns:

  1. The devaluation of the American dollar
  2. The rapid increase in value and price of commodities like food, gold and oil (inflation!!!!)
  3. Continued job losses, mortgage defaults (particularly in the commercial area), and bank failures
  4. Government intervention.

First, the devaluation of the American dollar is inevitable. Our national debt is utterly out of control. There will be a reckoning day. All the money that you have in pensions, savings accounts, checking accounts and on hand could be reduced over night. The probable ratio is 6:1. That means that if your have $10,000 in the bank, it will be worth $1,166 after the devaluation. The American middle class will be wiped out in a minute.

What to do? To preserve the value of your money transfer most of it now into: 1) gold and silver; 2) hard assets, like barter-able items of  food, tools, dry goods (paper), and ammunition. Real estate is good, but you can’t eat it or spend it.

If you have tThe_Blue_Marblehe assets, put some into foreign stocks, particularly those companies that deal in natural resources, like oil, coal, copper, etc. I recommend investing in China, Brazil, Argentina, and Southeast Asia. Exchange traded funds (ETF’s) are a good investment along these lines.

Secondly, number one links to two by preparing for severe inflation and goods and service shortages. Store up as much as you need for an uncertain future.

Third, you haven’t seen anything yet. When the next wave of mortgage foreclosures and bank failures hit, it will be brutal. Job loses will again spike, and people will be selling wood, apples, and whatever on street corners.

What to do? Get out of debt. Pay down your credit cards, and take a very conservative view on purchases. Keep only a minimum of money in your bank, just what you need to pay bills, and don’t trust media hype that “all’s well.”

And finally, there’s government intervention. In case you haven’t gotten it yet, the present administration wants to create a “socialist” state. They want to take your freedom of speech, your freedom of the press, your guns and ammunition, and your property through taxation. They aren’t worried about your religion because the American church has capitulated to the culture. In other words, they want to make you a surf. That’s not just their plan, but that’s the devil’s plan from the beginning. Remember what the founding fathers fought for…”liberty.” The devil does not want a free people, who think for themselves and scorn evil.

It’s time to “vote them out of office” as long as we have the vote. It’s time to band together in writing our representatives. It”s time to protest, and it’s time to prepare for civil war. God willing it won’t come to that, but all it’s going to take is one crisis where the government can evoke the Patriot Act and declare marshal law.

So, what’s the point? If we have faith in God shouldn’t we believers just sit back and trust Him to work it out? That’s what German Christians thought when Hitler came to power and systematically took away their freedoms. No. God does not reward foolishness or apathy; He rewards faith that takes action (James 2.26).

We’re at war, and we’ve been at war all along with the forces of evil. You just haven’t noticed, even though we preachers have been saying it for years. Think about it…the disintregration of the family unit, rampant drug use, a pornography industry in the billions, abortion on demand, etc.

Get smart, get ready, bless God and occupy!

It’s just a set up so the party of “NO” can hit another home-run…being obstructionists. I expect he will get to the jobs thing soon enough.. Next fall, you can expect the insurance industry to crank up the prices and Then the party of NO will not be looking so hot… Our President has become the Chicago politician, pragmatist, we always suspected he was. Too bad the only thing our statesmen (sic) are only interested in is their own job security! I guess unemployment is an infection that is going around.

Speak when you’re angry, and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret.
