Barbecue for Associate Pastor Mark Clements
Life is bittersweet
It is with a sad heart that we bid farewell to Associate Pastor Mark Clements and his lovely wife Cynthia, yet we must be happy for the wonderful opportunity God has afforded them. They have been integral part of New Hope Christian Fellowship from the beginning and are now moving back to New Hampshire to head their own church. It is what they wanted and they will be able to live closer to their families back east. Still, we can’t help but be sad that these kind and generous people are leaving.
We honored them with a barbecue after last Sunday’s service. There was a great turnout – just proving how popular Mark and Cynthia are and how many lives they have touched.
Our new home at the American Indian Christian Mission lends itself well to barbecues and parties! With two grills going, Chef Billy and Chef Clay cooked up burgers and hot dogs. We had salads and beans and chips and dips and desserts galore to go with them. It was a beautiful, sunny day like so many here in Linden. We couldn’t have asked God for a nicer atmosphere to celebrate the Clements’ new venture.
A good time was had by all! We only hope that next time we have fun and fellowship, you will join us.
